Steak Sauces

We don’t necessarily save steak for a special occasion, but I feel like having steak feels a little more fancy than usual. And when we’re trying to do a little extra to liven up our meals, a great sauce can really pull the meal together. I like experimenting with different flavors and textures, but I also don’t want to dirty several pans just to make one sauce. Here are a few of the successful/easy steak sauces that we have made to elevate our home cooked meals:

Fried Garlic Hot Sauce:
From a cool pan, heat oil with garlic slices, turn heat off when garlic turns golden, add salt and spices, drizzle over steak!
Sautéed Mushrooms:
We still have not perfected this recipe, but it usually tastes good with lots of butter
A Play on a Chimichurri Sauce:
chop parsley or basil with vinegar, oil and some spices.

Yumm! Let me know if you have any other (hopefully easy!) ideas – we recently got a grill so it’s likely that we will be able to make steak more often!
